| 11/19/04 | Write a 10 page research paper on your selected topic. Many of the topics listed below are discussed in our text book or another text book. (I will give you a copy of the information from the other text book if you choose such a topic.) Use the text as an introduction to the topic; however I expect you to use outside sources including cutting edge research. Our library subscribes to several journals which publish database research. Another good source is CiteSeer which is a digital library of computer science literature. You may also use the web. I encourage you to use CiiRarchies when searching the web, which is an alternative interface for Google. The paper will be graded based on quality of writing and content. |
| Assigned Class Period | A 25 minute class presentation will present the material you researched. Presentations should include visual aides and examples where appropriate. You will turn in a printed copy of your presentation. We sure to include references on the print out. The presentations will be video taped. |
